The Street Food of Bihar & Jharkhand - Litti Chokha.
This video showcases the ultimate Indian Street Food found in the streets of eastern India.
Litti Chokha is staple indian food for some and it serves as a complete meal.
I tried Litti Chokha from arguably the most famous street food vendor of Jharkhand, Bhola Litti Centre.
He has been in the business for over thirty years and trust me, his Litti Chokha is to die for !
The litti is a whole wheat dough ball that is stuffed with sattu and baked on flaming coal.
When cooked it's submerged in buffalo desi ghee to get the ultimate flavour.
Their filling of sattu is basically roasted gram flour mixed with onion, coriander, lime juice, indian spices and mustard oil.
It was served with chokha that was made using boiled potatoes seasoned with red chillies, coriander and spices.
The Litti Chokha was accompanied with tomato chutney that had loads of green chillies and garlic.
One can learn the intricate steps of Litti Chokha Recipe from this video.
It was truly the best Litti Chokha of my Life.
