WHERE IS IT !? Masala Library is located at BKC, it's right behind Citi Bank. WHAT DOES IT SERVE !? Masala Library is a fine dine progressive Indian cuisine restaurant. It serves regional delicacies from all over india with a signature jiggs kalra twist. The food is prepared using scientific techniques (molecular gastronomy) and four decades of research, there is an element of surprise in each and every dish they offer ! WHAT I LIKED THE MOST !? I tried their chefs tasting menu, it coves delicacies from all over india, it's what masala library is known for ! COCKTAIL - BURNT CURRY LEAF MARTINI A classic martini with a burnt curry leaf twist. Pungent yet lemoney fresh curry leaf flavour....Refreshing !! SOUP - STEAMED BASA DUMPLING South indian tomato rassam with a twist of thai lemongrass, Super peppery n spicy in flavour, crispy dosa added the wow factor. SALAD - CHICKEN SALAMI CHAAT Chicken salami cones filled with sweet spicy crispy chutney and chakna. Tangy spicy delight ! APPETIZERS - MURG MALAI TIKKA Creamy juicy chicken tikka made in the oven using four kinds of cheese, fabulous flavour of cheddar and parmesan cheese made it amazing !! SOFT SHELL CRAB 65 Tender fresh soft shell crabs marinated with indian spices, deep fried with semolina coating.....tasted extremely delicious with spicy cherry tomato chutney. THALASASSARY PEPPER PRAWNS Succulent prawns and cherry tomatoes cooked with south indian spices, topped with braised pok choy and sprinkled with madras gun powder. Beautiful south indian flavours at it's best ! MAIN COURSE - BUTTER CHICKEN Creamy buttery, butter chicken made with pulled tandoori chicken and naturally creamy san morzano italian tomatoes, beautiful mild flavour of dehydrated fenugreek leaves made it heavenly ! PAN SEARED RAWAS Perfectly seared indian salmon covered with crispy saag, served on a bed of tangy mustard flavoured tomato curry..... A seafood lovers delight ! CHICKEN CHEDDAR KULCHA A cheesy tandoori kulcha with the goodness of cheddar cheese and minced chicken. DESSERTS - JALEBI CAVIAR A tribute to rabdi jalebi! Crispy jalebi caviars served on a bed of cool pistachio rabdi and topped with saffron foam. Loved the jalebi's slick sexy avatar....it tasted devine ! CHAI ICE CREAM Masala chai ice cream, served in cutting chai glasses, topped with chai foam and served with saffron chenna and almond chikki . A melody of contrasting flavours beautifully bought together in the form of a aromatic dessert ! PISTA PAAN Pistachio coated paan stuffed with gulkand and nuts, served besides coconut ice cream and rose foam...... The best pan fusion dessert i have ever eaten ! WHAT'S MY TAKE !? Masala Library is a culinary experience, it's the best contemporary indian food one can get in town !! Their food has perfect balance of flavours, it's gorgeously presented and it's insanely delicious...... Highly recommend !
