1 cup Gram Flour/Besan

Onion Pakoda Recipe - How to make kanda bhajji - Kanda Bhajiya - Onion Pakora
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Gram Flour/Besan
5 Onions
2-3 Chopped Green Chilies
Chopped Coriander Leaves
1 tsp Cumin Seeds/Jeera
1 tsp Carom Seeds/Ajwain
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Red Chili Powder
Oil For Frying
Salt To Taste
METHOD:
1. Using chopping board and knife,peel and slice all the onions long thinly
2. Transfer onion slices in a mixing bowl
3. Add chopped green chilies and salt to taste
4. With your finger tips,mix it well continuously for 2-3 minutes and seperate the onion layeres
5. Add turmeric powder,red chili powder,cumin seeds and carom seeds
6. Add gram flour(besan) and coriander leaves in a bowl
7. Add salt if required
8. Mix it well and keep it aside for 5-7 minutes(don't add water)
9. Turn on flame and heat oil for deep frying in a kadai
10. Once oil is hot,drop pakoda mixture using fingers and fry it on medium flame
11. Flip pakodas and fry till they turn golden brown in color from all sides
12. Transfer it on the plate and keep it aside
13. Repeat same method with remaining batter to make more pakodas
14. Onion Pakoda is Ready
15. Serve Hot onion pakodas with tomato sauce and fried green chilies
