INGREDIENTS:
20-25 Fresh Spinach Leaves
1 Sliced Medium Size Onion
1/4 Cup Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves
1 Cup Gram Flour / Beasn
2 Tbsp Rice Flour / Chawal Ka Atta
1 Tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeera
1/2 Tsp Fennel Seeds / Saunf
1/2 Tsp Carom Seeds / Ajwain
1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1 Tbsp Red Chilli Powder
1 Tsp Coriander Powder
1 Tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
A Pinch Of Baking Soda (Optional)
Salt To Taste
Oil For Frying Pakodas
METHOD:
1.Wash well spinach leaves and finely chop them
Add them in a big mixing bowl
2.Heat oil in the kadai on low flame for frying pakodas
3.Add sliced onion and coriander leaves
4.Add gram flour and rice flour
5.Add cumin seeds,fenel seeds,carom seeds,turmeic powder,red chilli powder,
coriander powder,ginger-garlic paste and salt to taste
6.Mix all them well
7.Add baking soda and water in parts as required
8.Mix well (we added 1/2 cup of water)
9.Add 1 Tbsp of hot oil and mix it again
10.Now Batter is ready
11.Once the oil is heated,
Take small portion of batter in fingers,press and drop in oil
12.Fry pakodas on medium flame
Turn over couple of times till they are golden brown and crispy
13.Transfer the fried pakodas in a plate on the paper napkin
14.Fry rest of the pakodas in the same way
15.Serve Palak Pakodas hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup
